Meet The Staff
Dr Cleghorn DVM
Dr. Cleghorn has been a veterinarian for over 30 years. She graduated from Texas A&M University as one of the first female veterinarians in Texas. When she attended veterinary school, she was going to become an equine practitioner. However, her true calling came out and she went into small animal care. She has owned University Animal Hospital for over 20 years and has been at this location for over 15 years. She owns 4 dogs and has a true love for Labrador Retrievers. She supports several wolf rescues.
Niki
Niki is the Practice Manager and has been a vital part of the hospital for over 7 years. She has been in the veterinary industry for 11 years, is a Registered Veterinary Technician, and runs a bulldog rescue. She has 6 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 horse. She strives to be the best and give the best care to your animals.
Dr Davis DVM
Dr. Davis graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She loves practicing medicine on all four-legged furry creatures. Dr. Davis is married to a wonderful veterinarian, and they have two energetic young childeren. The Davis family has two dogs and three cats of their own. Her favorite hobbies are outdoor activities.
Dr Kersting DVM
Paul
Paul is a Certified Veterinary Assistant. He grew up around veterinary medicine and has been actively working in the field for 2 years. He and his wife have 2 Pugs, 3 cats, and share a true love for animals. When not working, he donates his time to a St. Bernard and Rottweiler rescue.
July
July, one of our receptionists, has had a love for animals all of her life. She and her husband have 5 dogs, 1 cat, and 3 horses that have all come from rescues and are her "babies." She loves working at University Animal Hospital and says the best part of her job is giving love to all the animals. Her goal is to make sure that all of your and your pets' needs are met.
Stephanie
Stephanie has been a receptionist with us for over 2 years. She loves all animals, but is a Pug fanatic. She was raised around show horses and Great Danes. She and her loving husband have 2 Pugs and 3 cats.
Anthony
Anthony has been a veterinary assistant with University Animal Hospital for 3 years. He is a helicopter pilot in his spare time. He has several animals and a very special Pug that lost an eye in an accident. His favorite part of working at University Animal Hospital is the variety of people and pets he gets to meet.
Korki
Korki joined UAH in Oct of 2008. Grooming professionally for 18+ years now. She has a true love for dogs and passion for the art of grooming. Specializing in Hand Scissoring. She has shown dogs in conformation shows for years as well as training her own dogs in obedience and agility. She has been married for 18 yrs and they have one son. They share their home with several pets including Princess, who is pictured.
Jan
Jan has been in the grooming profession for 30 years! Her true love for animals has made her an amazingly kind person with all pets. Jan has been with us for 15 years and is a valuable assistant, as she always takes extra care and time with the bathing and grooming of the dogs. She has been married for 18 years with 3 lovely kids and 6 wonderful grandkids. She has a Lab mix.
Mike
Mike has been with University Animal Hospital for over 2 years and loves his job. He started in kennel and became a Certified Veterinary Assistant this year. He loves all animals but has a soft spot for little dogs, especially Chihuahuas. He has 3 dogs, all rescued from our hospital, and 3 children.
